About us

Western Racepix proudly provides a variety of photography services to the WA horse racing industry. We cover all thoroughbred race meetings at Ascot, Belmont, Albany, Broome, Bunbury, Geraldton, Narrogin, Northam, Pinjarra, Toodyay and York, as well as selected interstate and international meetings.

We also specialise in yearling and stallion photography, as well as providing photographic coverage of numerous industry events. Our photographs have appeared in a variety of local and national publications and websites, with major clients including The West Australian Newspaper, TABform, The Sunday Times, Perth Racing, Magic Millions, G1X.com.au, Punters.com.au, OzRace.com.au, ANZ Bloodstock News, RWWA and many others.

Our core business is the production and sale of racing photos, complete with race and owners details, framed and ready to hang on the wall. We do all the design, printing and framing of our products in-house, and pride ourselves on providing high quality products at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner.

Owner/Operator Simon Merritt has worked as a horse racing photographer for over 11 years. He is extremely passionate about the industry and is involved in the ownership of several racehorses.
